Itineraries

Day 1

Upon arrival at Vienna Airport, meet your car and transfer to the hotel. Check in and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure exploring this great city. Vienna is world famous forits excellent coffee and cafés, so while you’re out and about why not visit a traditional 'Kaffeehaus.'Overnight at hotel.

Day 2

Your Plan

After breakfast, discover Vienna on a seat-in-coach city tour of Vienna. The tour gives you a thorough overview of
Vienna's most significant historical sites, and focuses on the famous Schonbrunn Palace. You’ll also see the Museum of Applied Arts, the State Opera House, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Natural History. The Hofburg is another highlight, the famous residence of Empress Elizabeth, affectionately known as Sisi to the Austrians. Plus you'll see a host of other fine buildings, including the Parliament, City Hall, the Burg heater, the University and the Votive Church. Your tour ends by the Südtiroler Platz, approximately a 10-minute walk from the city centre. A
complimentary transfer service is available to the State Opera House, should you wish to continue your sightseeing independently. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3

Your Plan

After breakfast, leaving Vienna and travel in a comfortable vehicle to the country’s best winemaking region, the Wachau Valley for a fully guided tour. Renowned for its
quality wines, stunning villages and breathtaking scenery, it is the perfect place to enjoy a day away from the city. Arrive in the UNESCO-listed Dürnstein – a picturesque
medieval town famous for being where Richard the Lion heart was held captive in 1192. There, enjoy some free time to explore the streets and the castle ruins. Then, go to
the Domäne Wachau, and sample 5 great wines to warm up your pallet for a day of tasting. Enjoy chocolate, jam and liquor tastings, and sample goodies produced from local
stone fruits, including gapricot brand, and apple cinnamon liquor. You will then explore the town of Weissenkirchen and one of its local wine taverns. There, you will enjoy
free time for lunch (not included).Continue your tour with visits to some familial wine taverns. Visit the wine cellar of Jamek Winery, a quaint place filled with rustic charm.
Tour the cellar, showcasing a 450-year-old oak press, and taste wine and schnapps made using traditional methods. Then, visit the Lagler Winery, a familial winery with a
more modern approach to wine production where you will enjoy a last wine tasting. Stop in the picturesque town of Melk, where you’ll have the option to see Melk Abbey (Stift Melk), a world-famous Benedictine abbey founded in 1089. Located above the town of Melk on a rocky outcrop, this impressive monastic site boasts stunning views of
the Danube River down below. Spend the rest of the afternoon wandering the town and exploring at your own pace before returning to Vienna Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast say goodbye to Vienna and take your private transfer to the airport
